Emma spent her childhood summers on Nantucket watching her
grandmother, Phoebe Dunn, photograph children for her classic
series of Random House books. After concentrating in photography
at Skidmore College, Emma worked for a private fashion studio in
London then went on to study portraiture at the Maine
Photographic Workshops. Emma's first book of photographs, SOLO,
was published by Bantam Doubleday Dell and includes portraits of
Sheryl Crow, Jewel, Sarah McLachlan and many other musicians.
SOLO received critical acclaim from magazines ranging from
Billboard to Rolling Stone and People. Her work has also
appeared in many publications including Oprah, USA Today, Photo District News, Entertainment Weekly, The
New York Times, and The Washington Post. Her wedding photography
has been featured in Condé Nast's Modern Bride and Modern
Bride's "Best Of" issue.
